How do I start, welp,

I have so many opening sentences for this post,
but seriously am so excited that
I don't know where to start or
how to start.. lol..
silly me I know :P

welp, truth to be told,
nothing beats the excitement I had
when I saw this meat safe
last Tuesday at my friend's shop.

This is the meat safe I talked
about in my previous post.
A retro teak meat safe
a very vintage one!

I came to the shop in a raining weather,
waited patiently for her shop assistant to come in 15 mins,
she said to unlock the shop.
while I was waiting for her,
I peeped tru the glass door wondering
where they hide the meat safe.. hehehehe

and lo and behold,
I found it stood next to another tall display cabinet..

boy oh boy, I got really excited,
the 15 mins was lonng! lol..

I can't wait but end up doing a happy dance!

anyhow, that was three days ago..
and now I can smile gleefully!!
lol

so that night, I had a big project..
I moved all my pretty pinky roses knick knacks
at my pink corner to another corner

and gosh, that was not an easy task!
in fact it was a HUGE task!
especially when you have to move half the stuff
at the living room
to make way for this cabinet..

since I was doing it all alone,
it took a whole nite to just move
things here and there..

once all are back to their new places,
I have to decide which pretties shall
I have on this counter top..

and that was another issue!.
hehehehe..

So I thought take 5 would help..
I took a break, brew myself a pot of tea
and blog hopping..

In blogsville,
I found so many beautiful vignette displays
and had a hard time to pick one that I like..
hehehehe

so, finally, said to myself,
welp, you just have to put
what you love most here
on the counter top..
things that you would like to see every day..

and so I played house! hehehehe

took my cookie jar with my jam pot

my pinky tea set lamp

and here are the end result!

hehehe.. another pinky display..

so which display do you like best?
the above one or
this one below?

hehehehe

welp, counter top issue solved!

now another task is to decide what goes into the cabinet..

I imagine another big shuffle, moving,
cleaning and what not to tackle
and I don't have that much energy left
when time is already 3am.

So off I shoved in whatever was scattered
on the floor and coffee table into the cabinet
and promised myself,
I shall make time in other weeks
to really sit down and thoroughly
clean up all the stuff..
here..

another major, major cleaning up,
don't you think?
hehehehe

so happy people,
thanks for reading this long post of mine,
and hope you like the photos..

till next post
Don't forget to visit Cindy and Beverly
for more of beautiful stories to be shared!

Have a good weekend!

Adieu

Wow, what a lot of work. You have been busy, That tea break was necessary. Both displays are beautiful, and if you are like me neither one will be the final one. It takes up to a week of tweaking before the final vignette is settled on...just has to evolve and change until it is JUST RIGHT!
Thanks so much for visiting! Have a great weekend.
